Hi, we're Donna & Kate, a mother and daughter from Chelmsford , MA. For years now we have followed an incredible organization on facebook called The Be Like Brit Foundation. Here's a little about the organization:

Brit was a teenager when she decided to travel to Haiti with her college. She was so touched by the children there that she sent her mom the following message: "They love us so much and everyone is so happy. They love what they have and they work so hard to get nowhere, yet they are all so appreciative. I want to move here and start an orphanage myself." Can we just say, who wouldn't want to Be Like Brit?!?! Guys, she was 19!!!!
Only a few short days into Britney's trip, the devastating earthquake of 2010 hit Haiti. She was missing for 33 days.
In memory of their amazing daughter, Brit's family took her spirit and message to heart by building an orphanage. The facility is earthquake proof and now home to 33 girls and 33 boys with the brightest of futures ahead of them. These children are the future leaders of Haiti.
Donna & Kate have been accepted into the "Britsionary" program at Be Like Brit and will be traveling to Haiti July 23-30th 2016!!!! During our week long stay at the orphanage we will work during the day to build a home for a family who currently lives in a tent. At night we will return to the orphanage to work with the children. Upon completion of the house we will have the honor of attending the blessing with the family and bringing them housewarming gifts such as rice, and even goats!
All money raised will go toward our trip expenses, cost of building the house, and purchasing goods for the family. We are hoping to have enough funds raised by July 4, 2016.
The children of the Be Like Brit Orphanage have weighed heavily upon our hearts for many months now. We know this trip will be filled with every emotion imaginable and we are so glad to be able to experience this together.
We are so unbeliavably thankful to everyone for reading Brit's story, and being part of our story by supporting us on this incredible journey.
