Kate’s New Zealand Internship

Hi! My name is Kate Liggett, and I am a Junior at Maryville College majoring in Outdoor Studies and Tourism. I am passionate about working in the outdoors with children to help them feel more confident and become more critical thinkers through carefully facilitated activities. I am going to New Zealand this summer for an internship in Outdoor Education to explore more about my future career and to explore a country where this field is very prominent. In order to get there, I  have some big fees to pay the company that will place me with a job site, get a visa for me, provide my housing, provide health insurance, etc., as well as paying for my plane tickets to get there and back. I am currently making and selling Christmas ornaments to help with these fees, and I am also going to apply for several scholarships and grants. However, I still need some help covering all the fees. I greatly appreciate any donation!
