Kathy Boone's Medical Expenses

Kathy Boone is a Bloomington mother, grandmother, teacher, and friend. She's been working her whole life to provide not only for her daughter during her daughter's younger years and all through college (Kathy spent all her extra money making sure her daughter graduated college), but also helped support her grandson during her daughter's college education as well.
As a local teacher, Kathy has lovingly devoted all her extra time to supposrting and loving her students. As many teachers do, she's spent time, energy and money making sure her students benefit and her classroom is the best and most supportive learning space it can be. If you know Kathy, you know that she is one of the most loving, supportive, peaceful, and good-willed people you've ever met. She'd give the shirt off her back to a complete stranger if she had the chance.
Unfortunately, Kathy has had to go through not 1, not 2, but a multitude of health issues. Her kindness and strength has been fighting through intense epilepsy since she was younger, and due to the severity of her epilepsy she has many uncomfortable medicines she has to deal with. She has survived skin cancer, undergoing treatment/surgery to remove skin to ensure her future health. Then, a couple years ago Kathy had to undergo emergency brain surgery when doctors accidentally discovered a massive hematoma which had enveloped half her skull/brain in blood. The size and emergent nature of the hematoma led doctors to say that Kathy was unbelievablylucky to have identified the injury in time as well as to have survived the open brain surgery. Needless to say she is still affected by the medical bills from that ordeal.
Now, after a lot of pain, suffering, confusion, and numerous tests and medical procedures to figure out what is now wrong, doctors have discovered a mass inside Kathy's pancreas. They are unable to identify if the mass is benign or malignant, and since one cannot live without their pancreas, Kathy must now undergo yet another intense and dangerous surgery to get a portion of her pancreas extracted to not only remove the mass but examine it as well.
As a single mom on a teacher's salary, all of these devastating medical issues are more than impossible to cover by herself. Kathy is a proud, strong woman and would rather drown in medical bills or deny what she needs than ask for someone else's (or in this case many someone else's) help.
I however, am her daughter and am willing to do whatever I can to help when it comes to my mother. I am asking for any help any one can give to this hardworking woman/mom who has given her life to helping and mentoring others. Human beings helping other human beings in their time of need is the most beautiful concept I can think of, and I'm hoping this is something that will happen for this amazing woman.
