Kathy Bruno Ovarian Cancer Research Fund

Kathy passed away on June 2nd 2019 after a 3.5 year battle with ovarian cancer. She was an absolute warrior. She was diagnosed at the end of 2015 and determined to fight this- which she did with more strength and courage than we knew was possible. Through these past few years, she used every ounce of her being to keep this from affecting her life. You would never know the pain she felt or the emotional toll this took on her.  She was incredibly private about her diagnosis and never wanted anyone to treat her differently.

Kathy was the most amazing person. To know her was to love her. She just exuded positivity and grace. She gave the best advice, was always unbiased, saw the good in people, did the right thing, and always, always put family first.  These things came easy to her because it was who she was.

Kathy went peacefully surrounded by the people she loved. It was her time and she can now rest and be free from this horrible disease. Cancer sucks but she was so much more than cancer. She lived a great life, although too short, and she was happy. Happy to be with her husband Ralph for 40+ years, happy to see both of her daughters marry truly incredible men, happy to be there when her four grandchildren were born, happy to see all six of her grandkids grow, happy to have been able to help so many people during her career, happy to have been able to care for her mother, happy to just live this life.
