Katherine Karges Double Hip Surgery

Hi everyone, this is about my dear friend Katherine Karges (Kathy to me).  I have known Kathy for almost 30 years and she is more family to me than just a friend. We have seen each other through marriage, kids, divorce,  and even death. Many of you know her as a remarkable woman, mother, co-worker, person and friend.
She is a single mother who has owned her own landscaping business for the last 15+ years.  However, what many of you don't know is that she has been unable to do normal hands on work for the past 2 years;  driving, walking, getting out of bed and even sleeping has become extremely difficult or impossible at times. After many doctor visits,  she was finally diagnosed this month and it turns out she needs a double hip replacement immediately.  Both hips are bone on bone; causing constant, debilitating pain. The time has come for Kathy to take her life back. The financial toll this surgery will exact on her is tremendous. 

While he does take insurance, only 50% is covered leaving her with an out of pocket expense for the surgery part alone at over $12,000.
That doesn't include the anethesiologist, the hospital costs  or the loss of work she will incur while healing.
Additionally, she has a minimum of 4 weeks of rest after surgery before she is even able to drive, let alone work on job sites.

So in the coming weeks Dr. Jason Snibbe will be performing a double hip replacement surgery. He is only one of a handful of surgeons that can perform this delicate and complicated surgery. He is reknowned for a new procedure where he opens the muscles, ligaments, and tendons and does not cut through so this allows a much quicker, better healing process.

Notwithstanding this innovative procedure, she will necessitate extensive physical therapy 3x a week for several months as well; learning the basics again...
Can you imagine being in so much pain that you can't even put a pair of socks on?
