Kathy's Healing Fund

My mother, Kathy Schroeder, suffered from severe mouth and ear pain for almost 3 years after an oral surgeon knowingly pulled an infected tooth. The infection went into her tonsils and despite going to several doctors about this pain, none could tell her what it was and every doctor had something different to say. her jaw slowly began to lock in place to where she can only open it about a half inch. She could barely talk because there was some kind of obstruction in her throat. Soon she was only able to drink liquid and even that was difficult. over 2 and a half years she lost over 60 pounds.
Finally she decided to get help from MD Anderson. On April 16th 2015, at age 57, she was diagnosed with stage 4 Squamous Carcinoma. A tumor had been growing in her throat over her voice box making it extremely hard to swallow and talk. They gave her a tracheotomy and a tube for feeding to make her breathing and eating more comfortable but the expenses are great. Surgery for removal is not an option so she has to go with Chemotherapy or another alternative treatment.
This fund is to support her in her treatments and medical bills and any other medical expenses during her journey. During this time she is surrounded by all of her loving family, her 4 children, husband, sister, and many friends. Every little bit helps, even just sending prayers, love, and positive energy!
