Keahey & Williams Fire Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Thursday, February 28, 2019, tragedy struck our family. During the course of an early morning fire, we lost 3 family members: Eugene Keahey (father), Deanna Keahey (mother), and Camryn Keahey (their youngest daughter, age 15). Currently, their middle daughter Darryn (age 17) is in the Parkland Hospital Burn ICU fighting for her life. Janelle Stone-Williams and Derrick Williams were rescued from the burning house out of the 2nd story window by the Cedar Hill Police. Although Janelle was Deanna’s sister, she always referenced that Janelle was her first child. After the passing of their mother, Janelle moved from Michigan to Texas to live with Deanna. In an effort to stand in the gap for Deanna and Eugene, we are asking for your assistance to ensure that Janelle can continue to help her family through this trying time. We understand that no amount of money will change what happened that tragic morning. It will, however, allow Lauryn, Deanna and Eugene’s 20-yr-old daughter, who was off at Spelman College in Atlanta, GA. to continue working towards her degree. In addition, to helping Janelle and Derrick regroup and assist with the ongoing care that Darryn will need over the next several years. Please know that we are grateful for any and all help.
