Keep Kandice at TMU

Hello, my name is Hannah White and I am a Junior at The Master's University. I have a friend named Kandice Lake who is a Freshman at TMU. From the moment I met Kandice, her excitement for life and love for people and for the Lord were evident. It is impossible to meet her without leaving as a better person. From there, I have enjoyed getting to know her and her enthusiasm for life.
Kandice has been in and out of the foster system for her entire life and is constantly doing all she can to break the cycle of her parents. Coming to TMU was a complete act of faith because financially it should never have worked out for her to be here. However, the Lord has provided for her up to this point, and we believe that He will continue to provide.
It was about two weeks ago when Kandice found out she would have to leave the school if she did not come up with $6,871 by April 5th, 2017. She has a large financial aid package, and took out about $10,000 in loans to be able to pay for school this year. Because she does not have any parents, it is impossible for Kandice to take out anymore loans at this point because she neeeds a co-signer. This then causes Kandice to have come up with all of this money on her own. With that being said, starting on April 5th Kandice will not be allowed to attend her classes and will be terminated as a student at the Master's University if she does not come up with any money to give the school. She has been working extremely hard this semester to get good grades, and she is currently doing very well. It would be terrible if all of her hard work was for nothing.
The next three years here at TMU are fully paid for. Her Cal-Grant has increased, and academic scholarships will be applied. It is just the rest of this semester she has to worry about. However, if we are unable to work with the school for the rest of this semester, she will fail all of her classes which will bring her GPA down causing her to lose her academic scholarship for the next three years. She would then be unable to come back to Master's.
The Master's University is an awesome environment to grow in the Lord, make lifelong friends, and recieve an awesome education. I (along with everyone who has ever met Kandice) want her to be able to stay and learn about the Lord in the awesome environment that Master's University provides. She loves it here and we love HER!!!
Thank you so much for reading this and donating to help keep her here. Whether it be a dollar or more, it is greatly appreciated! If you are unable to donate financially, please pray for Kandices situation and that she would trust the Lord with whatever He has for her future.
