Keep all the parties poppin'

Bryce Tea's CDJs weren't so much his as the community's. Wherever parties needed jumpin', bumpin' or rescuin', they went, no questions—or payment—asked. They've been used as the Main Music Makers for wet & sandy renegades and Trusty Terrorizers (later becoming the Established Entertainer) of Summer Meltdown campground.  The've been the Night in Shining Armor for countless last-minute (and not so last minute) after-hours parties, Baron of Bangin' for untold number of house parties and the last-minute savior for warehouse parties with missing backline. They've been the community gathering renegade camp at Photo, Recess and Cascadia, where anyone with a thumb drive and good taste in music is welcome to come play.

These CDJs are the reason many of us were able to dance and shenanigan the day/night/morning/day/night away. And they take a beating.

They've survived sticking keys, locked loops, smashed-in network links and much more. Now that the power supply has died in one of them, we think it's time to let them retire to that shady nightclub in the sky and bring in some new blood.

These guys get loaned out a lot, and after talking to a few peeps we decided to do this casual donate-if-you-wanna funding deal. Any contribution from the community ($1, $5, $100,000,000, whatever) will go toward the generous and heavy use of these booty-shakin' machines. 

We (NasTea) will FOR SURE be picking up two CDJ-900NXS. The cost is a bit up there, though, so /when/ they are purchased depends on how much help we get. $2200 is the goal (price for out-of-box units before tax & shipping) and whatever doesn't get thrown into the pot will be made up by our own skrilla.
