Help Stop Kelly's Execution!

Tax deductible

Kelly Renee Gissendaner is a mother, a Christian, a student of theology — and the only woman on Georgia’s death row.

Convicted for her role in the 1997 murder of her husband, Douglas Gissendaner, Kelly has been transformed during her time in prison. She has accepted full responsibility for her crime and has become a powerful voice for good.

Despite the testimony of clergy, educators, former inmates, corrections officers, and Kelly’s own children pleading for their mother’s life before the Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles, Kelly will face execution once again on September 29th.

We invite you to join us in supporting the #kellyonmymind campaign fund to help save Kelly's life. Your money will help us spread the story of Kelly's transformation via social and print media.

Your contributions will ensure that decision-makers in Georgia know:  Kelly deserves clemency. We ask that her sentence be commuted to life in prison without parole.

For more information about Kelly, her case, and other ways you can act, visit our website: www.kellyonmymind.com

In hope,

The Reverend Dr. Melissa Browning, the Reverend Kimberly S. Jackson, and Letitia Campbell

*The advertisement that the campaign seeks to fund would draw public attention to the numerous clergy who oppose the execution of Ms. Gissendaner. It would not offer a defense of the charges against Ms. Gissendaner, condone the crimes for which she was convicted, or contest that she should be held accountable. Rather, the advertisement would question the propriety of state-sanctioned killing and highlight the value of all human life, including Ms. Gissendaner’s.
