Kenya Mission Trip/Mural Project
Donation protected
It is said that the kingdom of heaven is in the heart of man. With this concept in mind we can do great things when we focus our intentions and lead with our heart.
Ebenezer Baptist Church West, located in the Heart of Athens, GA, has been on a mission since the inception. We have a community ministry center on N. Chase St in Athens GA where we have served thousands of local families over the years by providing food, clothing, and bill pay assistance. As we grow as a church family, so does our mission to serve others.
In 2014 we accepted a challenge to become a global minded church. We formed a partnership with St. Carl Home of the Champions School/Orphanage in Kisii, Kenya. We travel there every year since 2014 to donate medical supplies, medicine, shoes, paper, books, food, and a host of other items. We also help with repairs to hazardous infrastructure. This October 10th, 2016 we are planning to send a team of 12 to Kenya to continue our service.
This year Broderick Flanigan is excited to join the mission team as he will be able to share his talent as a visual artist by creating a mural inside one of the buildings at the School/Orphanage. He plans to allow some of the older children help in completing the mural.
The trip is being funded entirely by donations and by the team members who are going on this journey. Below is a list of budget items so you can visibly see how the funds will be used. Every cent donated will be used towards the mission. May God bless you for your time, your prayers, and support! If you have any questions or concerns please contact Broderick Flanigan directly at [phone redacted] or the Ebenezer Baptist Church West office at [phone redacted].
