Kevin and Sid's remarkable Ironwill

My name is Kevin Fergusson and I have qualified for the Hawaii Ironman. I have competed in triathlons for over 25 years and I am trying to help a close friend, Sid James, achieve a lifelong goal of completing an Ironman. 23 years ago Sid fell from his bike becoming a C3 quadriplegic.  Before this, Sid was a top triathlete and triathlon has remained his passion throughout the years.  He is currently the race director for the Victor Harbour triathlons and has been for over 20 years.

Sid's bucket list and lifelong goal is to be able to particpate in the Hawaii Ironman and the Victor Harbour traithlon which he is the race director.

This is where I come in.  To help Sid participate in the Hawaii Ironman, I will swim 3.8km while towing Sid in a inflatable boat, ride 180km with Sid's chair (to be custom made) attached to the bike, and run 42.2km while pushing Sid in a custom made 3-wheel wheelchair.

I have created this fundraising page to raise funds for the equipment required for us to complete these triathlons/ Ironman safely and for the cost of 4 caregivers/support crew for Sid.

Sid has done a lot for the sport of triathlon in South Australia, which has seen him win many awards for his Victor Harbor triathlons,  including being inducted into the Triathlon SA Hall of Fame

To complete his triathlons and the Hawaii Ironman is a dream that now will become a reality thanks to your support.
