***Kevin lost his courageous battle with cancer yesterday, March 10, 2016. Any further contributions made will be used to meet the needs of Kevin's wife, Amy, and their children. Please continue to keep this family in your prayers ***
The mortgage goal has been met! Thank you to all who contributed! In addition to tremendous support from our local community, we received contributions from 16 states, the United Kingdom, and St. Thomas!
The Georgetown and Blendon Township Fire Departments (Michigan) are asking for your donations to eliminate the home mortgage of Firefighter Kevin Sikkema.
Kevin has been battling Glioblastoma brain cancer since May, 2014. He has undergone multiple surgeries, therapies, and suffers from seizures. Kevin is currently unable to work more than one day a week.
Kevin has been married to his wife Amy for 11 years. Together they have three beautiful children,
Brayden-age 9, Easton-age 3, and Morgan-age 1.
The money raised in this campaign will be used to pay off their mortgage. We would like to relieve this huge financial burden so the Sikkemas can focus on more important things. We only need $100 from 1000 people to make this happen!
This is a hard working, deserving family. They are the first to help someone in need. Kevin has served two local communities through the Fire Department for several years. Amy donates her time by giving hair cuts to patients at a local rehabilitation hospital. They have served so many. Please help support them!
It would mean so much to our tight knit fire community if you would come alongside our brother in this time of need. We would be so thankful for your help in securing the home of this young family. This is a life changing gift that you can be a part of!
