As many of you know, a beloved member of our group (UC Vocaholics) was involved in the incident at the Ohio State Fair on July 26, 2017. Keziah Lewis, a Creative Writing major at UC, was severely injured in the malfunction of the ride called 'Fireball'. Her boyfriend, who was seated next to her during the incident, was killed. She has since been in the capable hands of the medical professionals in Wexner Medical Center at The Ohio State University.
Keziah is looking at a lengthy and costly healing process, already having undergone multiple intensive surgeries. She is still months away from being able to stand on her own two feet again, with a lengthy physical therapy process to follow.
Keziah's family has and will continue to assist her in every way they can, but now we ask for your support. To help with her care, Keziah’s mother had to leave her job while also dealing with a recently broken-down car and daunting medical bills. This makes it difficult for Keziah to receive all the aid she needs in healing. Your money will go toward helping pay for Keziah’s medical bills, assisting her mother with expenses, and helping her get back on her feet to return to UC.
*None of the profits of this GoFundMe are going to the Vocaholics. 100% of your donations will be given immediately to Keziah and her mother.*
Keziah has always been such a positive light in our group, and a true source of strength. For those of you who haven't heard Keziah's voice, check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3w6Rzpnmlc . She truly has an incredible talent, and we want nothing more than for her to be able to return to doing what she loves. Please, even if you can't donate to Keziah's cause, help spread the love for our incredibly fierce friend. Simply copy the link to this campaign and add #KeziahStrong. Every dollar, prayer, and share helps her along her road to recovery.
