Valley Fire Rebuild: Last Steps
Donation protected
Just when I was beginning to feel stronger in my healing from surgery for ocular melanoma, I received word of a devastating conflagration called the Valley Fire in Lake County, California. I spent 72 hours in prayer, hoping beyond hope that my art studio and library, which was in storage on Shawnee Circle in Middletown, had somehow survived the firestorm. It didn't: that's thirty years of work and more than a dozen large canvases, my portfolio of smaller works, all the art supplies, furnishings, equipment and an astonishingly detailed library of art books, history, philosophy and esoteric spiritual literature ... all reduced to ash. I am now faced with no way to pay off medical bills accumulated over the past year, and no way to fund on-going anti-cancer treatments. While I have a roof over my head, unlike several of my friends, (I'm staying at my dad's place in northern Michigan.), I could really use all the help I can get to reestablish my life as a working artist, one-eyed or not! and to be responsible for the healing process I've begun. Please accept my gratitude in advance for anything you can offer. I can share a few photos of my art, if you send me a note, so you know the level of skill that your generosity is support. THANK YOU!
