In April 2017, at the young age of 34, and while on maternity leave with an infant and 4 year old at home. our dear friend was diagnosed with stage 3 breast Cancer, a more rare/aggressive form with no family history.
        She and her husband are both long time locals of Revelstoke, growing up in the amazing community.
       Since the moment of diagnosis their lives have been a whirlwind.
        To date she has completed  8 rounds of chemotherapy and has continued with frequent regular schedules trips out of town for additional medical intervention.
         Our friend has already undergone multiple surgeries with another looming in the horizon.
         Soon she will begin radiation. Having to move to Kelowna for 6 weeks of radiation is a daunting task, let alone the immeasurable emotional impact it is having on this young family over the coming holiday season.
       All of the visits to physicians and specialists out of town as well as all treatments and surgeries mean a lot of expenses.

         We, their friends and family along with The Village Idiot restaurant are hosting a fundraising event on Sunday December 10th from 11-4 pm
       
       We are inviting all members of the community to join us and show this family how much we care! A family friendly pizza buffet and silent auction will be held. We are aiming to help ease the financial burden this has had on the family.
