Let's Get Leo Home for The Holidays

1. Who you are - Hi, I'm simply the roommate of a french exchange student who has been going through a rough time due to recent terrorism in his native land of France. The terrorists attacks in France have hit close to home for our roommate Leo.
2. Where you're from - I'm from Toronto, Ontario. My roommate is from France, as previously mentioned.
3. Your relationship to the parties you're raising funds for - Leo is my roommate.
4. How the funds will be spent (be specific as possible) - funds will be spent on buying Leo a flight to go home and visit his family after the tragedy that has struck france.
5. How you intend to get the funds to those in need- the plane ticket has already been bought on my credit card. The money will not be directly handled by Leo. Funds will be used to cover the costs of the flight.
He has been put through something that none of would ever want to experience for ourselves. With out getting into specifics I'd like to ask something out of all of us. It would mean a lot us if we could collectively finance a trip to help send Leo back home for the holidays to be close with his family during these rough times. We all will be visiting home for holidays and we do not want him to be alone, especially due to recent events.
In order to do this we need your help, us students have started to fund raise for his trip back home and we would like for you to help us in this en devour. We are each donating and invite you to also donate. Every little bit helps. Word of mouth and talking to anybody you think could and would be able to donate would be a blessing. We have looked up round trip tickets prices and they range around $1,500 Canadian currency.
We appreciate all the support, and are already grateful for what we'll be able to accomplish as a group.
