Several years ago, I experienced what it was like to lose a loved one to cancer.
My best memories were the times I would give her manicures and put lotion on her hands. It was time when she could relax and feel good about herself. And it was time that I could spend with her.
Almost everyone has been affected by cancer is some capacity.
I have decided to reach out to people currently going through chemotherapy.
Through my experience, research, and the feedback from people who have experienced or been close to similar situations, I have carefully selected certain items to include in a "chemo care package".
People going through chemotherapy often deal with very dry skin and painful, chapped lips. Certain fragrances, dyes, and abrasive products can be very irritating to their skin. Peppermint, however, is a fragrance that is generally pleasant and soothing to someone going through chemotherapy.
With this in mind, I have selected Mary Kay Satin Lips (lip mask and lip balm), Mary Kay Fragrance Free Hand Cream, and Mary Kay Mint Bliss Soothing Lotion for Feet and Legs.
As a Mary Kay consultant, I have the opportunity to purchase these items wholesale, rather than paying retail for other available products. I will make no profit off of these items, and instead will be able to use sponsorships and donations to provide gifts for many more people.
I have additionally decided to offer the option of a free color cosmetic product of the recipients' choice from a selection of Mary Kay make up options. Beyond the gift of some nice pampering with the hydrating products, I think it would be nice for people to get to choose something that's just for fun.
The retail value of the products is around $50-$60. The wholesale cost would be about $25-$30.
I am looking for people to help me by sponsoring some of these Chemo Care Sets.
$25 will gift one person. My goal is to raise $1250 to gift 50 people.
I will personally cover any additional costs of the gift wrap, delivery, donation fees, etc.
