Klippert Family Fire Damage Fund
Donation protected
I am starting this GoFundMe page to help support our neighbors, the Klippert family. On the 4th of July, while many neighbors had gathered together to watch a fireworks display, a firework misfired and shot into the front bushes of the Klippert’s house: 25 Crossing Brook Road in Cumberland, Maine.
The large pine tree in front of the Klippert’s house was quickly engulfed in flames. Julie, the homeowner, was sleeping inside at the time that the fire began, along with her three dogs and a cat. Julia's daughter and granddaughter, who had just sat down to watch the neighborhood display, were terrified as they witnessed the fire. Despite the fast work of the neighbors who extinguished the fire, the house suffered damages to the exterior siding, as well as smoke damage within the interior of the house. Fortunately, there were no injuries to the Klippert family and their pets.
Julia raised her two children, Jon and Carley, in this home on Crossing Brook Road. At the time of the fire, Julia was living in the home with her daughter (Carley), her granddaughter (Paytyn – age 3), their three dogs, and a cat.
The Klipperts are a hard-working, generous family. Julia is a community-oriented and energetic woman who has worked tirelessly to provide for her family. Working the night shift at a full-time job, Julia cares for her granddaughter, Paytyn, during the day. Julia’s daughter, Carley, is equally hard-working and works full-time as a medical assistant. Together, Julia and Carley have created a beautiful, loving childhood home for Paytyn; however, finances have been a challenge for this family.
Although the family does have home insurance, it will be a financial and emotional challenge for the Klippert family to overcome this current situation. If you are able to donate to this wonderful family, please do. They have been the kindest and most generous neighbors and they deserve a chance to feel the support of the Cumberland community and surrounding areas.
We love you Klippert family – and we are going to support you through this!
