Koh Chang Rescue Volunteers
Donation protected
This weekend while on Koh Chang, Thailand I had the unfortunate experience of pulling a young beautiful child from the sea who had drowned and unfortunately passed away.
24 hours prior to that a local volunteering organisation called Koh Chang Rescue had been working tirelessly through the night to rescue another 2 children who had also drowned. 1 of them survived and unfortunately the other also passed away.
I received a call on Sunday morning to go and assist with the recovery of the third child who was still missing and unfortunately I recovered that child and carried her lifeless body back to the beach where her family were waiting.
What became apparent in the hours after this had happened is that Koh Chang rescue are a group of normal working class people who are on call 24/7 saving life’s... for free! They are all volunteers and survive solely on donations.
They attend not only emergencies at sea but everyday day emergencies on the island including car and motorbike crashes, whether you are a tourist or a local they will rush to the scene to help and often save lives.
Koh Chang rescue desperately need newer equipment in order to continue being heroes and save lives so I have set up this page in order to raise money for these guys.
Thank you for reading.
