LOVE HURTS. LOVE HEALS. LOVE SERVES.
KONA SCHWENKE: The world lost a wonderful young spirit last week in Kona, a former Kahuku High School & University of Notre Dame football standout.
Kona, 25, died unexpectedly in his sleep from unknown causes after returning from four weeks of football camp activities in Texas and Atlanta. Final funeral and burial services will be held Saturday, May 5, in Laie, Hawaii.
With this fund, we are reaching out to Kona’s friends, family and admirers everywhere and invite you to help out his amazing family at a time they need it most. The funds will help cover funeral-related expenses and help Kona’s family recover from this sudden and unexpected loss.
Words alone cannot describe how much we will miss Kona’s infectious personality, great sense of humor and deep love of family and friends. What people remember most about Kona is his generous nature and selfless love, which is what we are trying to show his family now in his absence.
