July 3, 2017 Kris and Ray moved from Alaska and bought a home in beautiful Paradise CA. They were only 1 1/2 days away from completing their remodel when the fire tore through their neighborhood and destroyed everything .
Kris works remotely from home as well as cares for her husband Ray who is disabled. They were fortunate enough to be able to stuff as much as they could ( including their little dog Dolly ) into their Honda Accord before the fire came and decimated their entire town.
FEMA came out Saturday where Kris and over a thousand neighbors waited to hear what assistance they could receive. Unfortunately, they will receive nothing. They have been denied assistance because they had some insurance.
Kris and Ray were able to escape the flames and stay in Colfax while they wait for anything from their insurance company but, it looks like it will be a while.
As you could imagine, this horrific ordeal and extreme loss is and has been absolutely devastating. Any contribution would be more than appreciated.
