Love is Power Fundraiser

As many of you know, our dear friend Ilse Themen from the band Tamin' Thunder has been diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer. There is no denying that cancer does not care about timing, or your finances or how it will effect you both emotionally and physically. One thing it cannot destroy though is love, and LOVE IS POWER! We would like to give her power over this horrible disease, through the love of her friends, and her other favourite thing in life; music!!!

We will be holding a fundraiser on Sunday, February 15th, 2015 at Whisky John's, 843 King St West. Oshawa, Ont. to help her and her wonderful husband Marty Upshaw with the costs that clearly add up when you are unable to work and are suffering from an inconsiderate disease.

For those of you who are unable to attend the fundraiser, or just want to pitch in and help out,  you can donate here to lend a hand.   There is no cost to you for donating, and all money raised will be given directly to Ilse and Marty once the campaign is over (less the small fee that gofundme charges).  

We chose to go the online donation route to keep it simple for everyone involved and so you can all see how much money is being raised as it goes.
