Kristen's Medical Funds

Our loving and amazing mom, Kristen Miller was just diagnosed with stage- 2 Lymphoma Cancer, it came out of no where, and has been a shock to our whole family and friends. The good news is this is a very treatable type of cancer, so we are fortunate, although the journey is going to be tough, Kristen (our mom) has a great support system surrounding her and she is working hard on keeping a positive attitude.

Here is how her journey has started:
6 weeks ago my mom stated her chest was burning and she thought she was having heart burn or acid reflex, she took over the counter medicine for a couple of weeks and nothing was helping. She started to feel like someone was standing on her chest and had a large lump in her throat when she swallowed. She went to the doctors and they thought it was also acid reflx but suggested to get a chest xray to rule out anything else. The doctor came back with the test results and she has stage 2 lymphoma cancer. Since my mom is check to check she called EVDI and they would only charge $28 for cash pay so we went ahead and scheduled the chest xray. The doctors called later that day and said they found a mass by her lung area and now needs a CT scan. We went the next day and set up a payment plan for the CT scan and got a call from the doctor the next day saying she needed to go see an oncologist for she has a mass between her chest and lung.
It took 5 days to get into oncologist doctor. When he reviewed the the xrays they told my mom she needed to get in right away to do a biopsy to determine what kind of mass she has. She went in the following week and they went in twice through her back by her lung. Couple of days later the results came back non conclusive. At this point the lump in her throat had gotten bigger and she started having a difficult time breathing and eating and she was admitted to Desert Banner. There she under went another biopsy threw her chest. Another CT scan. An eco cardiogram. Bone marrow test. They have now inserted a port into her chest to start chemotherapy treatment. She has a 10k deductable and a 20% co pay.

This is a huge financial burden that our mom is facing, luckily God has already blessed her with a couple of small donations, one which includes a FREE wig, since the doctors say she will loose her hair.  We are very thankful for this for our mom, who has been so generous all of her life always giving and supporting others.
There have been numerous requests of "how can we help",  my brother Justin and I have started this GoFund Me account, in hope that there will be donations which will help relieve the stress and burden of covering the high financial costs of this journey, any amount of donation would be greatly appreciated.

We thank you for the outpouring generosity, love and support.
