Kristian O'Brien Funeral Expenses

We adopted Kristian from foster care when he was 11 years old. He survived horrific child abuse and a decade in and out of the foster care system before he became our son.

Despite all our efforts, in the end we were unable to overcome the trauma of his early childhood and committed suicide by jumping from the 40 story roof of our former home in NYC on July 28th while visiting friends.

Due to his psychiatric history of PTSD from his childhood abuse, no life insurance company would issue a policy for him, even in a small amount just to cover funeral expenses.

We are asking for help to raise funds to pay for transportation of his body home to Los Angeles and funeral expenses.

Any additional funds raised will go to establish a foundation in his name to advocate for and provide assistance to children in foster care who have suffered abuse and neglect.
