My name is Jared Aaronson. I'm a senior at the College of Charleston, graduating in December 2015 with a degree in Marketing and a minor in Arts Management. I love to produce music on Ableton, and mix music on Traktor. I've been DJing for 5 years and producing for 2 1/2.

SUMMARY: Basically I'm bringing music to chemotherapy patients in hopes to comfort them and lift their spirit. I'm going to be mainly visiting adult cancer centers but will plan a few childrens centers as well. The most difficult part of my treatment process was dragging myself to chemo every two weeks, a miserable walk. I hope to make that "walk" to chemotherapy a little more rewarding for current patients.  My friend Paul is coming along to professionally document the whole tour.  Paul is also an exceptional DJ. We're hoping to play additional shows at night to bring our sound to the local communities. The message of this tour is to enjoy every moment.

On September 17, 2012 I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. I went through 12 cycles (6 months) of chemotherapy. Music was a major part of my recovery. I'm honestly grateful for the experience, as it's taught me to be a better person. Since treatment, I've gone back to Hollings regularly with my acapella group, DJ equipment, and a metal hang drum.

After performing a successful DJ set in the infusion suite of Hollings Cancer Center last spring, I decided to take my music on the road. As someone who's been there, I believe my sound can help people that are going through chemotherapy relax. I've got a team of 4 people helping me route this tour and plan on taking the trip with one other person. I need $15,000 to take this tour as far as I'd like. This covers gas, food, lodging. (Additional 1k goal set to allow Paul Schmidt to come and buy some merch to leave with people along the way). Any money left over after the tour will be donated or put towards a future tour.

I will go as far as your funding takes me. If I can raise enough over my goal, I'll hire a driver which will allow me to spend the time on the road making new music rather than driving. If I can make one person's day at each stop, it will be worth my time. I'm open to play other events at each stop along the way, if you're interested in planning one.

Every donation will recieve access to the email newsletter I will send out, featuring new music, video and updates from the road. There are also rewards for certain levels of donation, but this isn't about getting a reward so they will not be disclosed. I hope to embark on this tour from September - November 2016 up the East Coast, across to the West Coast, down, and back around.

Thank you for your time and support!
