For those interested, ADAM’Splace is offering a “Back to Basics” seminar to explore the fundamentals of creating good art.
We intend to rent space to simulate a “studio” setting where students can explore their talents in the atmosphere of a Madison Avenue studio.
Areas to explore will include:--Gesture drawing--Perspective, understanding the rules
--Composition, the right and wrong way
--Color balancing / mixing
--Understanding the color wheel
--Palette knife painting
--Canvas preparation
--framing their work

I am a 78 year old retired commercial artist / Art Director having worked a number of years in studios and agencies on Madison Avenue in New York City. Like many illustrators who look forward to retiring, I, too, had the desire to spend my golden years painting. Surprisingly, a few years ago I discovered the fun of palette knife painting and have offered my skills to interested persons.
In addition to painting I am a published author with several books listed with Amazon Kindle.
