Lac La Ronge Regional Pride Parade & Festival

On June 12, 2019, The town of La Ronge, Saskatchewan made history by voting in favour of raising the LBGT pride flag for one month, commemorating Pride Month. 

With over 50 community members ranging in all ages, races, and sexualities packed into the council chamber, we set a record attendance for a motion. That motion was to simply acknowledge that LGBTQ+ PEOPLE EXIST! That our council members want to be on the right side of history for human rights. It sent a clear message that La Ronge, Saskatchewan
is moving forward in showing its support for ALL who live in La Ronge and that it is a safe space for LGBTQ+ youth and its citizens. 

The official flag raising ceremony will be held at 5:30pm on Friday, June 14th at town hall.

The 3rd annual Lac La Ronge Regional Pride Parade and Festival will be held on June 29th, 2019.

The parade will march from 11am-noon, followed by a festival in Patterson Park from noon-2pm.

As we are a small group of hard working individuals putting the parade and festival together on a volunteer basis and all not for profit, we are looking for in kind donations to supply the following items for the festival. 

This list includes:

- Cotton Candy Supplies ($30 required)

- Hamburgers (x150 )
- Buns (x150 hamburger x150 hotdog)
- Condiments (x100 Cheese slices , x4 Ketchup, x4 Mustard, x3 Relish)
- Serving Trays/Roasters, Napkins (x500 Napkins)
- Water (x250 bottles)
- Juice (x100 juice boxes)
- Pop (x100 cans)
- Bubbles
- Side Walk Chalk
- Garbage Bags (x100 Large Black Bags)
- Chips (x250 small bags)
- Candy (Various)
- Colouring Books
- Markers
- Crayons
- Ice (x25 bags)
- Performance/Transportation fees for Drag Queens/Kings ($1000)
- Funds for Staging equipment ($500)
- Funds for Videography ($500)
