Donation protected
Local Derby girl Lakoda Mitchell has been chosen as a Wildcard entry for the National Finals in the Aboriginal Model Search & Indigenous Connections which will be held in Sydney in January 2018.

These events assist young people within the Indigenous community discover a higher sense of self belief, self-confidence, and self-esteem by showing them techniques and tools to assist them with public speaking, health, fitness education which helps them with confidence boosting, and how to display themselves in front of a crowd.  There will also be talent scouts at the events where we are hopeful Lakoda will be able to sign up with an agency or represent Australia in the Indigenous Fashion Week

Lakoda  is a 20 year old aspiring model, who is currently studying to become a beauty therapist. Lakoda was a finalist in the Kimberley Girl program representing Derby and has now relocated to Perth to pursue her dreams of making it in the beauty & fashion industry.

Lakoda is grateful to have been chosen and is hoping that she would be able to attend and take part in this amazing opportunity.  Unfortunately this isn’t a funded program and contestants must paid for all expenses such as flights, accommodation etc.  Please help us raise the funds to get Lakoda to the National Finals.  Any help would be greatly appreciated
