Lance Aue, KA2EJD Memorial Fund
Donation protected
NOTE:
Saturday, July 15th, 3:15pm:
Thank you all for your incredible work in making this effort such a tremendous success! We're only $110 away right now from our target goal.
This fund will close tomorrow, Sunday the 16th, so that the accrued funds can be released to benefit Linda ASAP. Please make your last minute donations now, and thank you kindly for your assistance!
To all of you who have so generously donated, we extend our most sincere thank you. And many thanks also to those of you who went the extra mile and placed ads to promote this fund, who forwarded news about it to other organizations and associations that Lance was a member of, and mentioned it to friends. It is a significant achievement for less than 1 week's work!

This memorial fund has been established in the name of our dear friend and fellow ham, Lance Aue, KA2EJD who became a silent key on Sunday, July 9th.
This fund site is a secure and safe resource for you and the amateur radio community to make private donations online, which will be pooled to assist Linda defray the high cost of funeral expenses and medical bills, which she is no doubt facing.
You can, of course, donate any amount you wish. We have established an initial goal of $1,000.00, but there are so many hams out there who knew Lance, and who know all too well what he did for amateur radio, that we hope to see it rise well above our target goal.
Lance was renowned for helping and mentoring hams throughout Long Island, but he will always be remembered by his beloved radio clubs, for his unwavering dedication to ARES in two counties, for his solid assistance to Skywarn, for his radio station and contributions at HRU, for the marathons he participated in, for the endless benefits he continuously helped out with, and for the countless hours of help he provided to the American Red Cross, spending many difficult hours acting as a key means of communication during drills and true emergencies.
Whatever money we can raise to assist Linda at this difficult time comes from our hearts. Still, it will be but a fraction of Lance's contribution to better amateur radio, and to selflessly assist others during storms and communications emergencies.
This fund is being administered by Nassau County ARES. 100% of the donated proceeds will go to assist Linda Aue. NC ARES will pay the processing and bank fees associated with this fund’s administration during its tenure online.
Thank you, and please donate what you can.
