Craino Vault Expansion for Landon

Donation protected
Landon was born with Craniosynostosis, which is a rare condition in which a baby develops or is born with an abnormally shaped skull. It happens when one or more of the infant's cranial sutures fuses too early. The cranial sutures are the natural cracks in the skull.

Landon’s early months of life were not easy— he had surgery at 3 months to make room for his brain to grow and prevent any brain pressure. He has had a bumpy road with medical issues but has never allowed it to interfere with his dedication to school or with his love of life.

Over the the last 6 months, however, things have gotten increasingly difficult for our son. Landon is suffering from horrible migraines that are mood altering which, have unfortunately taken a toll on his progress in school. Over Christmas break, we went back to the original neurosurgeon who did Landon’s surgery and expressed our Concerns. While examining Landon he could tell the top & sides of his head were extremely narrow, and that could be the reason for the headaches. Based on the Scan th Doctor was able to see Landon’s brain was crowded, leaving no room for it to grow. It was concluded that the headaches are due to brain pressure , and the only way to relieve the pressure is surgery.

Landon will have a craino vault expansion February 27th 2018  where they will put titanium plates to expand his skull.

The money raised for Landon will go strictly to our out of pocket expensive, and all medical bills that the insurance does not pay.
