Haiti - Hurricane Matthew Relief
Donation protected
"Praise Be To God, We Are Alive." These were the first words communicated to St. Mary from the people of Latibioliere, Haiti. Then we learned everything was gone: homes, crops, livestock and trees.
80% of the population of 13,000 people are living in the four remaining cement buildings: the grade school, the secondary school, the community center and the priest's house.
There are an additional 20,000 people living in the remote areas surrounding Latiboliere. They are also in great need.
Our immediate goals are to provide: clean water, food, medicine and shelter to 33,000 people.
More specifically we need money to provide:
Metal sheets for roofing - $400 per roof
Nails and tools
Water purification tablets
Bottled water
Non parishable food
A new roof for the church - $25,000
Temporary housing
Permanent housing
Medical supplies including drugs to treat cholera
Baby Supplies
Live Stock - Pregnant Female $75.00/Goat
Secondary School Student Supplies - $250/Student
backpack, books, uniforms and supplies
Please donate. The need is urgent. The situation dire. 100% of donations go directly to residents of Latiboliere. 100% of work will be done by Haitians.
