Launch Ledian's Business Dreams

Ledian has always been an entrepreneur.  Since the age of twelve, he has worked to find innovative ways of supporting himself and contributing to his family.  He has participated in several prestigious programs for young entrepreneurs in his home country of Albania as well as travelling across Europe for similar programs in pursuit of his passions. 

Now nineteen, Ledian is currently the founder of web start-up We Are Albania (set to launch in the coming months) and was recently chosen as one of 50* out of 20,000 applicants to attend a three-week long Advanced Program at Stanford University as part of TrepCamp.  He is the only Albanian chosen to participate and has sacrificed, along with his family, to raise the tuition for this program, incurring personal debt along the way.  

In recent years, Ledian has been invited back to many of the same programs he once attended, as an exemplary alumnus, and has been interviewed and invited to speak about the state of youth entrepreneurship in Albania.  He maintains that giving back to the youth of Albania is always a focus, with future plans to develop training programs for the next generation of Albanian start-ups and innovators.

However, this passion, drive, and willingness to sacrifice has only taken him halfway to his financial goals.  He still needs your help!  Please take a moment to donate to his campaign, with the knowledge that you are not only fulfilling the dreams of one young Albanian but are helping to secure the future of the entrepreneurial spirit in Albania for years to come!

*50 applicants were selected for each one of ten sessions, for a total of 500 participants per year.

**Funds raised go towards program fees, lodging, and other costs associated with and required by TrepCamp participation.  Once fully funded, all money will be paid directly to the TrepCamp offices.

This campaign is focused on Ledian, his passion and efforts to realize his dream of being a successful entrepreneur.  In the spirit of transparency, I'd like to take a moment to explain a little bit about how I met Ledian and why I organized this campaign.  I am currently volunteering with an aid organization in Albania.  As such, we receive many proposals and requests for assistance; Ledian sent such a message.  Unfortunately, his request was outside of the scope of our mission and funding in this manner was not possible for him.  However, after meeting with Ledian and seeing his enthusiasm and desire to improve his home country, as well as researching his past successes, I wanted to do whatever I could to empower him to move forward.  Albania is not an EU member and as such Ledian does not have access to create a GoFundMe page on his own behalf.  I believe that amazing collective feats can be accomplished by people helping people in seemingly insignificant ways.  It all adds up!  Please take a moment to support Ledian in this manner by donating what you can or sharing his story.  Thank you!
