The Làzaro Family Recovery Fund

It is with great joy that our friends and family can share in the birth of Gaél. Here's to the wonderful parents, Dahlia and André. We are blessed that their baby is happy and healthy after undergoing complications during childbirth. Dahlia underwent an emergency cesarean surgery to save the baby, after 13 hours of labor. Soon after being discharged from the hospital, within 48 hours, she was rushed back for emergency surgery due to a massive abscess throughout her abdomen, causing a life-threatening infection.
We thank God that the surgery was a success and she has finally been able to return home to be reunited with her newborn. Gaél is now two weeks old. Dahlia has a long road to recovery with the healing of an open wound that must be dressed by a nurse daily. On the doctors orders, she may only lift the weight of a coffee cup. Her mother and sister have come to assist with her care and the baby's needs during this time but are only in town for one more week as they live out of state. All of her family lives out of state and out of the country. Dahlia's insurance only covers a nurse one day a week. It will also only cover some of the materials and treatments required for a well-rounded and complete recovery. At this time Dahlia doesn't know when she will be able to return to work but it could be quite a while. Unfortunately, it will be much longer than the recovery time of a normal c-section due to the infection and second surgery.
As we encourage Dahlia to take it one day at a time and let her know that she is loved by many, we are asking for all of your loving support during this time of healing. If you are able to give a donation of any amount to help assist Dahlia and André during this challenging time, it would be a great blessing.
We pray Dahlia will heal quickly to enjoy their upcoming wedding in September. Thanks for your continued love, support, and financial help. It's so greatly appreciated!
