Lee Roy Chapman Memorial Fund
Donation protected
Lee Roy Chapman was one of Oklahoma's most electric individuals. A historian of extraordinary ability, his work involved the recovery of significant artifacts with the intention of making them publicly available. As an activist, he moved through culture with tremendous force, angering the powerful and setting off actions that will reverberate for decades. He leaves behind a legacy of art, articles, photography, videos, historical artifacts and a seemingly unceasing well of humorous stories, adoring friends and family, and goodwill.
He also leaves behind a son, Kasper Henry Chapman, age 5.
The entirety of the Lee Roy Chapman memorial fund will be directed to Kasper's care at the discretion of his mother, Jeni Cooke.
All of those who knew Lee Roy understand that he lived a nomadic lifestyle and endured a path of financial hardship and few means. He was wholly committed to providing for his son, and often expressed aggravation at being unable to do more.
As a friend of Lee Roy's this is your opportunity to show your support for his life's work by contributing toward his greatest love, Kasper.
This fund is organized and managed by David Babcock, Western Doughty, Michael Mason and Daniel Woodul, and coordinated with the support and permission of Jeni Cooke and the Chapman family.
On behalf of the organizers, thank you for any contribution you can make.
