Priestly Discernment Pilgrimage

Hello! My name is Peter Lyons, and I believe that God may be calling me to His Priesthood. As we both know well, decision making and discernment can be extremely challenging; sometimes I think that either God doesn't talk to me or I'm a terrible listener ;) In order to expedite my spiritual growth and understanding of what God wishes me to do for the Church, I am trying to go on a Liturgical pilgrimage to Rome. Of course, I want to travel because traveling is fun, but my goal isn't simply the experience. My primary consideration is to take my immersion in traditional Priestly spirituality, my prayer life and self-knowledge, and my understanding of both the metaphysical and pastoral roles of a Catholic Priest to a much deeper level. I truly believe that the transcendental and mystical nature of being in Corde Ecclesia will materially assist me in running the race and fighting the good fight on my journey whither the Lord leads me!
The specific details and tentative itinerary can all be found HERE. I will have the opportunity for Holy Mass every day, including a Pontifical High Mass at the Altar of the Chair in St. Peter's Basilica, as well as access to confession and spiritual direction. I'll be able to visit and pray at St. Mary Major, the Archbasilica of St. John Lateran, and the Basilica of Santa Croce, to name several. I'm also very excited about plans to visit the English-speaking Benedictines in Norica! Again, the rest of the specifics are at the link above.
Please pray for me and my vocation, whether I meet my goal or not; rest assured that I am praying for you as you read this. May God bless you, and may God bless the Church!
