Ovarian cancer, Monique's story!
Resiliency is defined as the power to return to the original form and to have the ability to recover from adversity.
I'm Monique Bowie and I'm a student at UNT who was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer over spring break. Diagnosed is simply a minor setback in my journey of being the greatness that God had planned for me. I have chosen to have a positive attitude and remain faithful to my morals and family values. I have tried to do everything right, enjoying life, loving and caring for my family and friends, and that is not going to stop. For me to beat this, I am in need of your support. The financial burden for my mom is a little scary to me. But with your help, it surely will ease a lot of the stress. I have set up this Go Fund Me account to assist with the finances associated with my recovery. I am asking you to help me fight financially, I have a long journey ahead of me. This is just the beginning of a long road of doctor visits, surgeries, and of course chemo. My priority is getting well and strong so that I can continue my endeavors of being a good daughter, aunt, sister and of course a student. Let's continue to love and laugh!!
Thank each and every one of you for reading this and for donating to help save my life. I will be forever grateful!!
