10 Hour radio Charity Live stream raising money for 4 causes!
How's it going people of the world, Let the Geek Out, The UK's only fm radio show dedicated to video game and anime music are doing a 10 hour radio broadcast on Friday the 24th of July on Cambridge 105 to raise money for 4 different causes. From 10pm till 8am the team will be broadcasting to raise as much money as they can for charity.
The live stream we will be doing will be broadcast on the 24th July from 10pm GMT till 8AM GMT on Cambridge 105, a community radio station that helped to bring our radio show to life.
We will be raising money for these causes over the course of the night:
Papyrus- The UK's only charity dedicated to preventing youth suicide, the number 1 killer of under 35's in the UK. They will recieve 50% of the proceeds from the broadcast.

Mind- The UK's leading mental health charity, dealing with a range of mental health illnesses. They will recieve 30% of the proceeds.

Cambridge 105- A community radio station based in Cambridge that brought Let the Geek Out to life and give people the opportunity to get involved with the radio industry. They will recieve 10% of the proceeds.
MGMC- Meet and Geek Mini Convention- A mini not for profit convention aiming to promote geek culture whilst filling the convention gap in th cambridge area.

You wonderful people will be able to be involved with the charity stream in multiple ways from donating money to having our team take on silly challenges or play specific song requests, recording audio messages to play out to the charities and listeners or simply by donating a little amount just to help us raise as much money as we can for the chosen causes. You can donate via this page or pop down to the studio and donate money in person and pop on radio for a while.
Because we are raising money for multiple charities and causes we have had to use go fund me as the method of donation, so we can make sure all the causes receive the correct percentage of the overall total made by the live stream. We will record us writing and sending or handing the cheques in, so you can see your money was given to the correct charities.
Let’s raise as much money as we can and show our support for those struggling with mental illness.
