My name is Bruce Gryniewski. On Wednesday, December 14th, my son Levi Gryniewski was the victim of a serious hit and run car accident. The suspect has not been apprehended; but if and when he is he will be charged with vehicular assault.
Here is a link on the West Seattle Blog to the incident: http://westseattleblog.com/2016/12/crash-at-16th-and-thistle/
It is a miracle that Levi is alive. He has had 5 surgeries and can expect a long and painful road of recovery ahead. He has not only lost his physical mobility but he has also lost the small West Seattle landscaping business that he has spent the past 5 years single-handedly building.
We do not yet know what the road ahead holds for Levi, but this crime will change his life and the lives of all of us in our family.
There will be tens of thousands of dollars of out-of-pocket medical costs over the next year of Levi's rehabilitation. I am raising funds to help Levi through his rehabilitation and onto the path to a productive life ahead.
It is a terrible tragedy when someone so young with so much promise is the victim of such a senseless crime.
So many people have reached out to us with prayers and offers of support. I am grateful and thankful. And it reaffirms for me the beauty of the human spirit and the kindness inherent in all of us.
If you can help in any way with Levi's recovery and his path forward to a productive life I would be grateful beyond words.
I will keep you posted.
Peace and Love.
