Brand im Lhamo Bistro in Frankfurt - Spenden für eine Wiedereröffnung

Als Tibet-Aktivistin bin ich überall in Deutschland unterwegs. Jedes Mal wenn ich in Frankfurt vorbeikomme, empfangen mich Gonpo und seine Frau Lhamo mit offenen Armen. So habe ich in Frankfurt immer eine Unterkunft und wurde auch immer köstlich verpflegt in ihrem Restaurant Lhamo Bistro. Gonpo und seine Familie sind mir ans Herz gewachsen. Nun befinden sie sich durch einen Schicksalsschlag in einer Notlage und ich möchte ihnen helfen! Bitte unterstützt mein Anliegen. 

Gonpo und seine Frau sind beide aus Tibet geflüchtet und leben seit 2006 gemeinsam in Deutschland. Sie waren neu in diesem Land und haben hart dafür gearbeitet, um sich selber ein gutes Leben und ihren zwei Töchtern eine bessere Zukunftsperspektiven zu schaffen. Das Lhamo Bistro wurde innerhalb kürzester Zeit zu einem beliebten Ort, wo viele Frankfurter*innen zum ersten Mal mit tibetischer Küche und Kultur in Berührung kamen. Dank der warmherzigen Gastfreundlichkeit ist das Lhamo Bistro nicht mehr aus Frankfurt-Bockenheim wegzudenken.

Am 30. Oktober wurden durch ein Feuer in der Küche große Teile des Restaurants zerstört. Seither muss das Restaurant geschlossen bleiben. (Mehr Infos in einem Artikel hier )

Die Anteilnahme von Gästen und Nachbarn ist groß, und bestärkt Gonpo und seine Familie in ihrem Wunsch das Restaurant wiederzueröffnen. 20.000 Euro ist der geschätzte Preis, den Gonpo und seine Familie aufbringen müssen, um die Renovierungen zu finanzieren. Da es keinen ausreichenden Versicherungsschutz gab, ist die Familie jetzt auf jegliche Hilfe angewiesen, um ihre bescheidene Existenzgrundlage zurückzubekommen.

Gonpo und seine Frau haben nicht nur mit Mut, Einsatz und harter Arbeit eine Existenz für ihre Familie geschaffen, sie haben mit dem Lhamo Bistro auch einen Ort der Begegnung und eine Gemeinschaft geschaffen. Sie sind beide Menschen mit grossem Herz und kümmern sich immer um andere, empfangen andere mit offenen Armen. Mit diesem Schicksalsschlag ist es nun an der Zeit, dass wir ihnen etwas zurückgeben! Bitte spendet, damit das Lhamo Bistro bald wieder eröffnen kann.

FIRE AT THE LHAMO BISTRO IN FRANKFURT - DONATE FOR A RE-OPENING 

As a Tibet-Activist I often travel around Germany. Every time I pass by Frankfurt, Gonpo and his wife offer their hospitality. They always offer a place to stay and their delicious food at their restaurant. Gonpo and his lovely family have become friends to me. Recently there was a fire in their restaurant’s kitchen and now it’s my turn to be there for them. Please support my wish to help them!

Gonpo and his wife escaped from Tibet and since 2006 they live together in Germany. They were new to this country and worked very hard to establish modest lives for themselves and their two daughters. Their restaurant “Lhamo Bistro” quickly became a popular place where many people in Frankfurt came across Tibetan cuisine and culture for the very first time. Due to their warm hospitality the Lhamo Bistro has become a part of Frankfurt-Bockenheim and one cannot imagine this place without the Lhamo Bistro anymore.

On 30 October large parts of the restaurant were destroyed by a fire. Ever since the restaurant had to remain closed.

Guests and neighbours showed their sympathy and it has strengthened the will of Gonpo and his family to re-open the restaurant! But they have to come up with 20.000 EUR. This is the estimated price of the family’s share of the costs for renovation. The insurance company doesn’t cover the damage. That’s why Gonpo and his family now rely on any kind of help.

Gonpo and his wife did not only establish a livelihood for their family through courage, commitment and hard work but they created a community. A place where not only Tibetans can meet but all people in Frankfurt! They are both human beings with big hearts and they always care for others, they welcome others with open arms. Now they're going through a hardship due to an unfortunate accident.. I think it is time we give them something back!

Please donate so that the Lhamo Bistro can soon re-open! With your donation the Lhamo Bistro will be able to open its doors again in March 2019.
