MCCNY Charities is a comprehensive social service provider, working within and beyond the LGBTQI community. An independent 501(c)(3) organization, MCCNY Charities furthers the mission of Metropolitan Community Church of New York to bring the world to right and just relationship. All services are provided at 446 West 36th Street, unless otherwise noted.
Open 365 days a year, MCCNY Homeless Youth Services has helped thousands of LGBTQI runaway and homeless youths aged 18-24 to continue their work towards stability by providing them with crisis shelter, case management, social work, psychiatric, health care and job training services. The MCCNY Homeless Youth Services Mental Health Services Program is a critical resource for LGBTQI runaway and homeless youth who have experienced trauma or mental illness. The Sylvia Rivera Food Pantry meets the nutritional needs of a diverse group of low-income, working poor and HIV+ individuals and families in an environment of respect and confidentiality. Through a partnership with First Care of New York, Inc., Queer Elder Spirit offers training and job placement for members of the LGBTQI community to serve as home care and personal care attendants to LGBTQI elders. Queer Elder Spirit staff match these skilled providers with LGBTQI elders in need of home care. http://mccny.org/resources/mccny-charities/.

College Action Results in Empowerment & Strength TM
The action that results in empowerment and strength, encompasses planning events, activities, and future endeavors, which are part and parcel to what is key at LIBI, “WE”:
We CARE when donating to, advocating for, and playing an active role in the walks to fight diabetes, autism, suicide prevention and making strides against breast cancer. We STRIVE as educators to ensure that our students embark on careers that reflect the skills they have acquired at LIBI after graduation. It reveals how well we’ve done our jobs to prepare our students to move ahead, whether they decide to work or continue their education.
