Dartmouth Library for Pamplona Alta

Donation protected

This fall, 18 Dartmouth students have been working on various projects in Peru as part of ECON 70, an immersion class through the Economics Department at Dartmouth College. This December, the class will be traveling to Peru to gather more information and implement our projects on the ground.

Through a partnership with the Rotaract Club San Francisco de Borja, we are raising money to build a library in Pamplona Alta, a shantytown outside of Lima, Peru, in order to promote education and literacy for both children and adults in the community. The library will be named the Dartmouth-Rotaract San Francisco de Borja library.

Our monetary goal encompasses the complete projected cost to build the library. Any money raised through this campain will be put toward the construction of the library.

Every dollar counts. Thank you very much!

Here is a detailed breakdown of the library's expected construction costs:

The Rotaract Club San Francisco de Borja has designed the building to have 4 main gates and two perimeters, all made of reinforced steel, and Peruvian national regulations.

Final project in concrete frames following National Rules E020 (Weight)-E030 (Seismic)-E060 (Soils and Foundation)-E050 (Reinforced Concrete)
