Hi, my name is Laura.
I am an outgoing, energetic , outdoors kind of Girl that enjoys being busy and keeping active . When I was younger I enjoyed a range of sports and activities to fill my day. Netball, Badminton and Hiking amongst my favorites.
As I got older I followed a Career instead of Education, this left me with almost no time for the things that I enjoyed. Now I am 27, my job is open enough for me to delve back into what I love, I just have one more problem, two to be Exact.
I have a 38GG bust, not an issue in most cases with the correct management but I am also just short (Pun Intended) of 5Ft, and if you thought finding clothes to suit 38GG was hard enough, try mixing that with Children's Sizes.
Another issue is my confidence, it has been severely knocked by my assets , I cannot find anything that is flattering for both my height and bust. I am constantly harassed and feel like I am on show 24/7. They have led to me losing friends, missing out on opportunities and generally ruining my life.
About a year ago I saw my GP about chronic back pain and insomnia. Eventually after a battery of tests it was revealed that my 38GG's were not only making my wardrobe unhappy, but also my spine. I was given 5 years to have them reduced before they eventually put me in a wheelchair.
I approached almost everyone in the NHS circle, all of which agreed I needed the procedure, none would help. They all state that because of my height I need to be at a set weight in order to have the operation, a weight I simply cannot reach with my build, and no matter what diet or magic I use, it is not going to happen.
That is where you come into it, I can trying to raise enough money to have a reduction privately. Once this is achieved I can start work on rebuilding my confidence and getting back into shape. I can become the woman I was and forge a newer, healthier future.
I was given a rough estimate based on my current lifestyle and career choice, about 5 years was generous in most cases, this was at least a year ago. I would want to raise the funds as soon as possible, only then could I make the booking and begin forging the future I have always wanted.
I know it is asking a lot, and to put such life changing decisions in the hands of a community is a big risk, but also a very personal one. This issue has ruined a lot of my life, and is set to ruin the remaining.
Please help me on my mission, you would quite literally be changing a life.
