Assist Me With Life Changing Surgery Recovery

Hello! My name is Viktor and my pronouns are he/him/his. I am a transgender male in need of assistance with life changing surgery.
Many of you may know the unfortunate gatekeeping and lack of resources for transgender individuals and the care we receive. One of the most complicated aspects is finding assistance with surgery, be that with insurance coverage, finding care providers, or after care.
I’m currently in the agonizing waiting period of waiting for insurance to respond with their coverage decision. As of now, the outlook is bleak and I’m unsure of what the decision will be. But the coordinator I am in contact with is hopeful and she and I will work together to repeal any denials of coverage I may face. If our pleas go through, I will get 100% surgery coverage as the surgeon I am seeing is luckily in network (and only 15 minutes from my apartment)!
However, this is where my fortune ends. I’m at the (lack of) mercy of a bad job and horrible boss. Currently my only benefits are paid vacation time, this accrues very slowly and if I get surgery this summer or later this year, I will not have enough vacation hours to counter the time I need off. This means I’ll be without pay for my entire recovery period, which means 4-6 weeks without pay.
I will be receiving a double incision bilateral mastectomy (top surgery) from Dr. Gallagher and a total hysterectomy with a bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy from my OB-GYN Dr. Locke. Both of these amazing ladies are extremely well knowledged in LGBT affirmative care and have worked with transgender individuals for several years. Dr. Gallagher is also well known for her GRS for trans women. If you are in the midwest US, I highly recommend seeking them out for surgery!!
After my two initial consultations with both doctors and my primary care physician, as well as what I do for work, it will be recommended I take approximately 4-6 weeks off of work. This will help my body fully recover and allowing for my strength to return following such intense surgery, especially with the two surgeries being done on the same day.

I need assistance with my living expenses while I recover for this time period, as I will be unable to work and don’t have any paid medical leave. Any donations I receive will be used towards my monthly bills (rent, electric, utilities, etc), my insurance co-payments, transportation costs (UBER/Lyft or gas money), groceries/toiletries, and any other miscellaneous recovery expenses that may pop up such as needing to refill prescriptions for my current medication.
