Lifelong Dream & Passion Opportunity

Hello, my name is Yolanda Castillo.  Many of my friends and acquaintances who have seen my floral creations tell me that I need to use the talent that I have been blessed with by God.  Fear has held me back over the years, but after attending the Christy Wright/Dave Ramsey's Business Boutique I now understand that fear is normal.  I also learned that I need to step out on faith.  It was so inspiring to hear the success stories of others who decided to follow their dreams. So, I am now stepping out on faith and chasing my dream. 

I have and always had a passion for flowers whether fresh or silk, and I love making floral bouquets of all kinds. Throughout the years, I have helped family and friends make their events memorable and special with floral designs created just for them.  On several occasions, I have embellished prom and wedding dresses to include my daughter's recently.  It brought me joy to see the excitement on their faces and to see how happy it made them.  

In addition to creating floral designs, I have partnered with my sister, Patricia, to expand the business by adding our card making talent as well.  A card enhances the experience of any occasion especially when they are custom.

The next time you give someone flowers or a card, look at the smile and joy that it brings to the recipient.  Remember how it makes you feel to bring them joy too!

OUR PLAN: We plan to start with opening a floral shop that eventually leads to our ultimate goal of a future event venue.  The venue would be utilized for weddings, retirement parties, family reunions, birthday parties, corporate events and so much more.  Being part of a person's special day and contributing to the memories is an honor.


 

I created the wedding bouquets (pictured above) for my daughter's wedding.  No matter what style a bride desires, I can create it whether it's traditional, rustic, or modern. Pictured below is my daughter's wedding dress that embellished with lace and beading. The wedding served as a reminder that I need to share the talents God has provided to me with others.


Giving back to the community is  important as well, and we want to give back to the local community.  Both of us have a desire to help other women and minorities, who have similar dreams and aspirations (and fears!), fulfill their dreams. We are hoping that you'll help us.  

The funds will be used for the down payment to help us obtain a retail space.  If there are any funds provided over our requested amount, it will be used for equipment and supplies.  We are hoping to get the funds as soon as possible, but have approximately two months to come up with it. The location we found just came on the market, and we're extremely excited about it.  We will create a page to share updates on our progress.  I would like for you to be apart of journey, because we couldn't do it without you!
