“Fatou”, the best dog catcher in The Gambia, in West-Africa and maybe in the whole continent, lives in a rural area without electricity. Let's get her some light!
My name is Micha. I run Touray & Meyer Veterinary Clinic in The Gambia.
With the help of supporters from all over the world, we are able to do a lot of charity work with the stray animals, mainly dogs, of our country.
Fatou is the main pillar of our TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) operation, she is a fantastic dog catcher!
Your generous donation will help Fatou and her family have a solar system installed in their compound. The funds will be spent on solar panels, a battery and an inverter to have enough power to run some light bulbs at night, at least.
Having lights in the evenings and the ability to charge their mobile phones at home will make a huge difference in their lives!
And we might even go for a TV, if we raise enough funds for a system that is powerful enough!
Here is a video of Fatou's home.
This is where Fatou and her family live.
This is "Sata", the wife of Fatou's brother, getting water out of the well to wash the dishes.

Fatou!
Fatou works very hard saving animals and deserves to go home to a comfortable place that has electricity.
Please help us help Fatou and her family!!
No donation is too small, and anything is greatly appreciated. If you cannot afford to make a donation, just sharing this page will provide support.
Thank You!
