Lilly: A Future Medical Leader
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Lillian Klein and I'm currently a sophomore at Cherokee High School in Canton, Georgia. I was recently invited to represent CHS and the State of Georgia at the Congress of Future Medical Leaders in Boston, Massachusetts this summer.
My trip will take place from June 25-27, 2017. These donations will go towards my tuition, hotel, plane tickets, transportation, and any other necessities during this trip.
I've been passionate about the study of medicine since I was diagnosed with diabetes in late July of 2012. Being in the environment of a hospital was overwhelming, but I loved the idea of helping another person achieve their maximum health potential. The doctors that surrounded me helped me feel not only healthier, but more confident about taking care of myself and this illness. Since then, I have dreamed of finding a cure for Type One Diabetes.
COFML focuses on the many scientific breakthroughs in the medical field, which is a large focus of mine. From dealing with real-time brain imaging to 3D printing organs, I feel that this program will help me create a path for my future.
I am collecting donations until February 25, 2017. Being selected for this program is an honor in itself, and being able to go would be an absolute blessing. This program will help me get involved with many other prestigious scientists and open up many more opportunities for me. Thank you to anyone who donates, I cannot express my gratitude enough.
