Lil' Red Sponsorship

I'm Tommy "Lil' Red" Schwarz and I have been racing quarter midgets since I was 5 years old.  My older brothers, "Big Red" and "Beanstalk" were racers before me and helped pave the way for our family to understand more and more about the cars I drive.  During the year I started racing, I was diagnosed with a disorder called Fructose Intolerance and Malaborption and it keeps me from growing and gaining weight like 'most' kids my age do.  I haven't let this stop me and I work hard to eat properly, for what I have, so that I can gain weight and get stronger and stronger to drive the cars the way I need to in order to be competitive.

I compete in the Senior Honda and Senior Animal divisions and am a member of Garden State Quarter Midget Racing Club.  It's a tough division and many of my competitors have high dollar sponsors that help them get the top equipment in our sport.  My mom and dad do their best to get me what I need, but we can't buy new tires every week or have our engine refreshed often.  They always make sure I have proper safety gear and am as safe as possible in my car.  I have had two major wrecks in my first two years and the worst I got was some bruises and some seatbelt burns.  Both times I was ready to get back in the car - but it wasn't ready for me!!!  I have even had the chance to race in four Eastern Grands - Oaklane, Georgia, GSQMRC and, this past season, New Smyrna in Florida - where I won the Junior Honda divison and came home a Grands National Champion with my Speed King trophy; I also finished second in Junior Animal.

I am looking for help this upcoming season so that we can be more competitive.  New tires every couple of weeks would be really helpful as well as the chance to get some new shocks and both a new rear and front axle for the car. I am driving two Storm chassis this upcoming season - one in Senior Honda and one in Senior Animal.  


Last season (2016), I was a finalist in a contest from Champion Spark Plugs and received a $1000 sponsorship for the season. It was so exciting to be a part of #TeamChampion!!  But, it got even better!!!  This past November, I was offered a Personal Services Agreement with Champion and I am now officially SPONSORED by Champion Spark Plugs for the 2017 season!!!  I look forward to continuing our relationship with them!

But, we can still use your help....

How can you help me?  Become a part of our team.  Even a small donation will help us to buy tires for States (the Region 2 race) at Honeybrook and Eastern Grands (where drivers from across the nation will come to compete) which will be held at Columbus, Ohio this coming June.  Each set of right side tires costs $115.  Some of my fellow racers get to change them before every race.  We are hoping to be able to do that for at least the two big races this year.   In order to compete at Grands this year, we will be required to buy at least 4 sets of right sides at the track.

One other thing we were hoping to buy was a Go-Pro so that I can begin to watch what I am doing in the car so that I may learn more about racing and what I should do and should not do depending on the situation.   My Pap helped us out with that last Christmas!!! I have BIG DREAMS.  I tell my family all the time that I am going to take over Tony Stewart's ride in NASCAR when I get old enough.  YOU could be a part of helping me to reach my dreams!  I do have to change that, just a little...since Clint Bowyer is taking Tony's ride for 2017, I told dad I will still get the #14 when Clint retires.
