CRPS awareness and support

Donation protected
Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, a relatively unknown disease both in the general public and the medical profession.

CRPS is an incapacitating, tormenting long term pain condition that mainly affects one or more of our limbs. Symptoms consist of, severe swelling, constant excruciating burning pain, temperature changes, hypersensitivity, colour changes, muscle wasting, trouble sleeping due to pain, depression and anxiety, ulcers and infections, tremors and limb stiffness.

I have suffered with this disease for 4 years now and therefore know first hand how debilitating and isolating it can make people. However, on my journey I found 'burning nights' for me this is a support group of fellow sufferers that understand how I'm feeling. An amazing inspirational lady that despite her own battle with CRPS dedicates a lot of her time to raising awareness of the condition and support networks for sufferers in the UK.

November is CRPS awareness month and November 2nd is colour the world orange day to raise awareness and support for CRPS sufferers around the world!

This year I want to give something back, after a lot of thought i wanted to give up something that is important to me! So after much consideration I have decided to shave off my hair, for me my hair has been a huge part of my identity throughout my life, Crps may be an invisible illness but I plan to make a visible difference on November 2nd!
