Little Free Libraries for Superior
Donation protected
Last night our Little Free Library was destroyed in an act of arson.
While my initial social media post to a Superior community Facebook group was a way for me to vent my frustration, I was surprised at the outpouring of kind words and support for my Library.
I’m not looking for donations to replace my Little Free Library. My husband, who built my initial library as a Mother’s Day gift, and I would love to be able to raise money to build as many Little Free Libraries for Superior as we can. To put one on every block in Superior we can. To fill them with books for anyone and everyone. To show the person or people responsible for this incredibly sad act of vandalism that they may have burned down my Little Free Library, but it’ll be back. And then some.
Creating opportunities for life-long learning, fostering a love for reading, bringing together communities, and equal access for everyone is what a library is all about.
